 | BIW chief executive since 2000, Colin Smith has led the development of BIW to its current market-leadership position, creating a solid foundation for the company’s current and future growth, both domestically and overseas. Smith co-founded BIW, having worked in the construction computing arena since the early 1980s. |  | Finance director Bill Flind has extensive experience in start-ups and high-growth businesses. Since co-founding BIW in 2000 he has helped achieve a high-growth rate while financing expanding operations from existing cash flow. He was formerly a co-founder of Team Systems and then chief executive of Misys' open systems division. |  | Sales director Steve Cooper is responsible for introducing BIW’s specialised SaaS solutions to numerous construction clients and property owners such as Sainsbury's and Land Securities, as well as constructors such as Bovis Lend Lease and Mace. Cooper had 10 years' sales experience in the construction industry before joining BIW in 2000. |  | Head of product development at BIW, Chris Stebbings is responsible for definition, development and delivery of new BIW products. He joined BIW in 2000, having spent more than 30 years as an ICT professional, and draws on experience in running his own software business, and in corporate ICT roles for several global enterprises. |  | Danny Polaine, head of technical services, joined BIW in August 2000 and has driven the expansion of the infrastructure supporting BIW’s customers, including implementation of hosted environments in the UK and Dubai. Prior to BIW, he worked for NatWest for 11 years, building a comprehensive set of technology skills. |  | Asif Sharif has been general manager of BIW’s Dubai operation since 2006. Prior to this, he spent five years managing successful relationships with key BIW customers, drawing on 12 years’ previous construction industry experience as an academic and management consultant, including four years at Gardiner & Theobold. |  | Consultant Paul Wilkinson joined BIW in 2000 to head its marketing and public relations activities, having worked in the UK construction industry since 1987. Wilkinson wrote the industry's first definitive guide to construction collaboration technologies, published in September 2005.
