Asif Sharif is general manager of BIW's Dubai operation, and has been leading the company's expansion in the Middle East region since 2006. Prior to this, he spent five years as a BIW account manager, helping develop and maintain strategic relationships with several key UK industry clients, professional consultancies and construction businesses.

Before joining BIW in 2000, Sharif gained over 12 years experience of the construction industry as an academic and management consultant. After completed his PhD on International Procurement Strategies in 1996, he joined Gardiner & Theobold Management Consultancy as an Associate Partner where he provided procurement and supply chain management consultancy to clients.
