Raising money for charity CARE International, the BIW team – which included chief executive Colin Smith and finance director Bill Flind – scaled the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales. After tackling snow-capped Ben Nevis on the Saturday afternoon, the team then drove to Scafell Pike in the Lake District early on Sunday morning. With weather conditions worsening by the hour, the team then braved driving rain to climb Mount Snowdon on Sunday afternoon.

“We finished in just under 25 hours – not bad for our first attempt – but, more importantly, we exceeded our £5,000 target," said BIW CEO Colin Smith. “Donations have continued to trickle in since we completed the Challenge, so if anyone wants to recognise our achievement, they can still contribute.
"Thanks mainly to a fantastic effort by BIW software development director Brandon Parkes, we also won a special award for removing litter from the slopes of Ben Nevis.”
