BIW participates in numerous industry organisations and initiatives, with our people regularly invited to speak at seminars, workshops and conferences.

We also organise many events of our own, from BIW Training Academy courses in our Woking or Nottingham training facilities catering for less than a dozen people, through regional product launches and our national user conference attended by more than 100 delegates to online events that you can participate in from your own PC.

Forthcoming events

BIW user group, Manchester (provis) – Following the success of user groups held in BIW's head office in Woking, the company is considering holding a further event in the north of England, possibly in September or October 2008. 10 October 2008 – Be2camp, Building Centre, London WC1 – BIW is supporting the UK's first 'unconference' devoted to the application of Web 2.0 tools in the built environment, drawing on its experiences in collaboration, information-sharing, blogging, wikis, and RSS. Register here or go to the Be2camp website.

Recent events

24-26 June 2008 – BIW user groups, Woking – BIW invited frequent users of the BIW platform to participate in a series of free user group sessions, hosted at BIW's head office in Woking.

21-22 May 2008 – IT & ICT for Construction (RIBA CPD events, Knutsford and Birmingham) – Supporting Constructing Excellence's IT Construction Forum, BIW Technologies' Paul Wilkinson talked about cutting edge developments in collaboration technologies.

24 April 2008 – IT in Construction – Dr Glyn Jones of BIW customer Bovis Lend Lease spoke on ICT and Sustainability at this key industry event, held at London's Earl's Court conference centre and sponsored by Construction News.

February 2008 – BIW Webinars – BIW hosted its first online events in late February - each focused on an area of BIW functionality, giving a quick summary of the key features and how it can be used. New dates will be announced shortly.
