We have our own unique viewing application fully integrated with the core applications in the BIW software suite. It allows users to view drawings online. It provides both 'red-lining' (using a drawing tool within the viewer to mark-up drawings) or a database interface for comments. Once entered, mark-ups and comments are permanently associated with the document in question. When someone reviews a comment, the viewer will automatically display the image (or part of the image) that was being viewed when the comment was made. Moreover, what sets the BIW visual collaboration application apart from the third-party apps used by many other platforms is its seamless integration of key processes. You will not need to switch between views of data to instigate processes (eg: issue a RFI, an instruction, etc) - our BIW application gives you context-sensitive options to respond to the drawing or document you are viewing, or to associate new documents with that view (eg: adding an explanatory sketch). - fast viewing of CAD drawings even by non-CAD users - full pan, tilt, zoom-in/out and thumbnail view features help you focus on specific details or display whole drawings; you can also turn CAD layers or colours on and off, and measure distances or areas
- comprehensive mark-up and commenting tools - extensive mark-up tools (clouds, boxes, etc, with extensive pallette of colours, styles, line thicknesses, etc)
- unique process management capabilities - for example, you can initiate a RFI or other process direct from the viewer, mark it as approved, or add a supplementary document
- view previous revisions of a drawing - overlay different versions of drawings and compare changes and prior comments
