BIW: VCE – or Visual Collaboration Environment™ (VCE™) – is BIW's own unique viewing application and is fully integrated with the core BIW: Document Management application and other software in the BIW software suite. It allows users to view drawings online (including .dwf, .svf, .plt/.hpgl, .pdf, .jpeg and .gif formats). It provides both 'red-lining' (using a drawing tool within the viewer to mark-up drawings) or a database interface for comments. Once entered, mark-ups and comments are permanently associated with the document in question – when someone reviews a comment, the viewer will automatically display the image (or part of the image) that was being viewed when the comment was made. Features - full pan, tilt and zoom-in/out features to focus on specific details or display whole drawing
