Delivering successful education projects is a major challenge. The project team needs to work efficiently and cost-effectively to deliver the facility for the client organisation, and must also remember that its inputs may well be scrutinised by government audit bodies, elected representatives and tax-payers. Since 2000, BIW has worked on a wide variety of major education building projects, from pre-school facilities for small children through primary schools and City Academies to state-of-the-art postgraduate research buildings. Projects range from refurbishments to new-build projects, single schemes to borough-wide building renewal programmes, traditionally funded to PFI/PPP schemes incorporating long-term facilities management needs.
